Twelvetrees Press and Twin Palms Publishers printed books using the sheet-fed gravure process from 1984 until 1999, when the Nissha Printing Company in Kyoto, Japan stopped operating their gravure press. That year, Twin Palms produced its final three gravure books: Disfarmer, Bruce Davidson’s Brooklyn Gang, and Danny Lyon’s The Bikeriders.
